Find Calcite in CRACK, complete the current $150 deposit Work Order, and check the AMD/Intel missing-vein bug before starting another tunnel.

FAQ

How much Calcite do you need in CRACK?
Rafoli's 1.0.53 notes lower the Calcite deposit Work Order from $250 to $150. Follow the amount displayed in your own active order, especially on an older build.
Why can't I find Calcite?
A launch bug hid Calcite on some AMD and Intel graphics cards, particularly for the host. Update the host and clients before assuming the save has no deposits.

The current Calcite Work Order is $150

Rafoli’s 1.0.53 update reduces the required deposit from $250 to $150. That is a deposited-value target, not a purchase price or a count of 150 pieces. Older guides and saves on older builds may show another amount; read the active Work Order.

For the surrounding assignments, use the walkthrough.

Where to find Calcite

Calcite is an egg resource. Use the Deposit Scanner to narrow down deposits, then open a route to the marked material. The older walkthrough describes this excavation-and-deposit stage, although its $250 target predates 1.0.53.

In Can’t Find Any Calcite, players describe pale, moon-like nodules and report recovering Calcite with a Pickaxe or explosives. This is player observation, not a guarantee that every Pickaxe tier works at every deposit.

  1. Locate a deposit before opening another large tunnel.
  2. Expose it with a tool that the game accepts for that material.
  3. Collect the released Calcite into a Bucket.
  4. Deliver it to the Resource Depot.
  5. Check the Work Order counter before making another trip.

If access is above floor level, build a supported route with the Toolbox and scaffolding. For collection and transport help, see Workbots.

Calcite missing or stuck inside the egg

The same Steam thread includes a community moderator’s response confirming a graphics-related issue affecting some AMD and Intel hosts. A second stuck-material discussion received a reply asking players to check their version because an update had just addressed the problem.

Before spending more shifts searching:

  • Check the version shown on the main menu, including the host’s version in co-op.
  • Install available updates and check the deposit again.
  • If it remains broken, report the build, host GPU, and whether the vein is invisible or the released fragments cannot be collected.

Calcite is distinct from Chalazite, the crystal used for robot upgrades.
