FAQ

What is Chalazite used for in CRACK?
Chalazite upgrades Collector Bots and Delivery Drones. It is separate from Calcite, which has a resource-deposit Work Order.
Can money upgrade a Workbot?
Workbot levels use Chalazite crystals. Cash is used to purchase bots and for vehicle upgrades, not as a replacement for a Workbot upgrade crystal.

Where to find Chalazite

Look inside the egg, using the Deposit Scanner to find valuable deposits. Excavate toward a detected crystal and recover it. Dot Esports’ Workbot guide identifies Chalazite as the material needed for robot upgrades.

Scanner coverage and access matter: spotting a deposit does not remove the material around it. Use the scaffolding guide for elevated routes.

How to apply an upgrade

  1. Find a Collector Bot or Delivery Drone below level 5.
  2. Carry the Chalazite to it.
  3. Use the available interaction to apply the crystal.
  4. Check the bot’s level afterward.

Different crystal colors grant different upgrade amounts. Use the crystal’s displayed upgrade value rather than assuming every piece adds one level.

Keep crystals for the robots you want to improve instead of treating every recovered item as a sale. The Workbots guide covers purchases and idle bots.

Upgrade, repair, or deposit?

Your goal What it uses
Increase a Workbot’s level Chalazite
Repair depleted Condition Wrench
Complete the Calcite resource order Calcite deposits at the Depot

Version 1.0.53 fixes upgrade Work Orders that could stall when all owned robots or carts were already maxed. If that describes your save, update before looking for a way to lower a bot’s level.
