Where to get the Toolbox

The Toolbox is a later shop purchase, not an item you missed beside the first scaffolding kiosk. Continue the main Work Orders until the Specialty Catalog opens. Buy the Toolbox there, alongside the Hammer needed for construction.

Whisper’s progression guide places that catalog after commissioning your first Workbot. If that objective is still pending, follow the Workbot unlock steps before searching the laboratory again.

Starter Scaffolding and custom scaffolding are different unlocks

Players in the scaffolding Toolbox discussion initially assumed that unlocking Starter Scaffolding meant the Toolbox should already be available. Their correction: the starter reward is movable platforms around the egg.

A separate kiosk discussion describes the same confusion. The player eventually found the two movable scaffolds they had unlocked.

Buying Support Spikes does not give you a scaffold-building tool. They protect excavated areas against regrowth; the scaffolding guide explains construction.

How to refill the Toolbox

Rafoli’s 1.0.53 notes state that the parts terminal remains locked until your first Toolbox purchase. When the Toolbox runs out, the game now marks the refill terminal for you.

The in-game construction instructions say empty Toolboxes are refilled at the Scaffolding Part Dispenser. They also warn that parts already used in a structure cannot be returned.

What the Toolbox does

Use it to select and place scaffold pieces. Those placements begin as holograms; finish their bolts with a Hammer. For reaching the elevated ventilation duct, follow the door code and UV Flashlight guide.
